At: North Toronto, ON
Fee: Free!
Facilitator(s): Jeremy Finkelstein BFA

Learn a little mindfulness

If you’re considering a mindfulness program, join us for a free information session! We’ll give you a brief overview on how best to learn mindfulness and what programs we offer for you to develop a practice.

Mindfulness is a non-judgmental way of paying attention to the present moment. Practising mindfulness helps you enhance your mental health. Research on 8-week mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) shows it is beneficial for reducing stress, improving mood, and increasing focus.

If you’re unsure if you’re ready to take an 8-week program or which program to take, this info session will help you understand your options, how to register and how to use your extended health benefits.

You Will Learn

  • what mindfulness is
  • how to learn mindfulness
  • understand mindfulness benefits
  • about mindfulness programs: Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), and Mindfully-Informed Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MI-CBT)
