Covid-19 Pandemic: Mental Health Toolkit for Challenging Times

  • Monday LIVE Meditations – We are offering a daily community practice on Mondays at 12 pm EST on Facebook & Instagram.
  • Managing Mindfully in an Uncertain World – Pay-what-you-can sessions to help you mindfully manage in these turbulent times. Online sessions are held Tuesdays from 12:30 – 1:30 pm EST with Patricia Rockman.
  • 3-Minute Responsive Breathing Space Meditation from our MBCT program is particularly great (and short) practice to try out when you are feeling stressed or anxious.
  • Patricia Rockman guides us through the STOP Practice and discusses emotional resilience in the video below.

  • Patricia Rockman guides us through a Metta Practice below – also known as a loving-kindness practice – to cultivate a sense of support and care for ourselves and others around you.

  • Patricia Rockman sits down with Dr. Lee Freedman, a child and adolescent psychiatrist, to discuss the interesting similarities between the pandemic and anxiety. They also discuss how to deal with the overload of information in the news and how we have a choice on when to consume and when to nurture ourselves. See below.

  • 3-Minute Breathing Space Meditation by Occupational Therapist Blakie Sahay
  • Guided Meditations by Registered Psychotherapist Rose Mina Munjee
  • Donald Fleck, a New York-based Psychotherapist and mentor for our MBCT program, shares a mindfulness practice to cultivate awareness of the urge to touch the face and how to avoid this impulse. Please watch here. Donald has provided another great video to bring awareness to the hands. With more awareness of the hands we can be more aware of what we touch, whether it’s potentially infected surfaces or our own face. Watch this video here.
  • French Meditations by Psychiatrist and MBCT Mentor Thanh-Lan Ngô and others. Listen to guided meditations by Psychiatrist and faculty member Andreanne Elie here.
