Learn to manage difficulty with more ease and kindness

Self-compassion and mindfulness are natural counterparts. Mindfulness practice increases our awareness of the present moment and encourages us to fully experience it as it is. Self-compassion further assists us in bringing greater kindness and understanding to periods of suffering, to be more accepting of our flaws and understanding of our challenges. Self-compassion can help us “get out of our own way.”

Research on self-compassion have shown that it boosts happiness and improves relationships while reducing anxiety, depression and shame. Increased levels of self-compassion can transform empathy fatigue into wholehearted engagement with others.

Participants Will Learn
• to reduce self-judgement and critical thoughts
• specific practices to manage loss and difficult emotional states
• to approach life with more compassion and friendliness

A variety of meditation practices as well as self-reflection exercises and activities. Participants will understand and be able to draw upon methods that foster self-compassion and compassion for others.
